43 police nurses deployed in fight vs Covid-19

THE Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) has deployed 43 PNP personnel who are registered nurses to augment the Negros Occidental- Provincial Health Office (PHO) in preparation against the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

A short send-off program was held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr., Bacolod City last March 31.

The said police nurses will augment the PHO especially when the latter becomes short of medical professionals when the planned Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) Facility in E.B. Magalona becomes operational.

The PHO team held a lecture and workshop in donning and doffing of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at Benjamin Hall, 4th Street, Bacolod City to prepare the nurses for possible deployment.

Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, provincial police director, assured the PHO that NOPPO is very willing to assist in any way it can in this fight against the coronavirus disease or Covid-19.

He likewise thanked the police nurses who heeded the call for service in the name of public service. (TDE)
