CITY of Gapan Mayor Emerson Pascual has ordered the strict monitoring in checkpoints going in and out of the city to safeguard the welfare of people amid the corona virus or Covid-19.
The city, Pascual said, has six confirmed Covid-19 positive cases, which is the highest so far in the province of Nueva Ecija.
The mayor added that non-residents of Gapan will not be allowed entry to the city to prevent the spread of the virus.
Pascual said the city government will provide financial assistance for Gapan residents who are working outside of the city and are on home quarantine to prevent the spread of the virus and in the absence of public transportation.
The mayor also ordered the strict implementation of no bystanding, gambling and drinking in public places, and reminded his constituents to stay at home. (PIA-Central Luzon)
