Good Samaritan offers accommodation to Oro's frontliner

AN ACCOMMODATION establishment in Cagayan de Oro City will be providing 15 rooms for medical personnel in Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and JR Borja General Hospital at a discounted rate, the city's humanitarian assistance cluster head reported.

City Tourism Officer Chedilyn Aissa Dulguime, the humanitarian assistance cluster head, said the NMMC and the JR Borja General Hospital will decide which medical personnel will be staying at the 15 rooms provided for by the accommodation establishment.

Dulguime added that it will be one person per room.

"Especially kaning mga afternoon ug night shift bitaw nga maglisod og byahe especially nga sayo na ang atong curfew, sa we are finding a solution to that problem nga maglisod sila og adto sa hospital or pagpauli nila," Dulguime said.

"We negotiate for a discounted rate. We also cannot afford to allow them to give it for free kay syempre gagamit ta og kuryente og tubig," she added.

The City Government, through its humanitarian assistance cluster, has started its Project Hope, an initiative wherein they will be looking for hotel or accommodation establishments that can provide sleeping quarters to the frontliners at a discounted rate.

"We are calling this Project Hope because so long as this frontliners will go the line, we will hope against this war," Dulguime said.

Meanwhile, the humanitarian assistance cluster is still accepting donations from individuals, groups or organizations who wanted to help the frontliners. They can be contacted on their hotline: 0956-935-6222.
