NAGBANGUTAN ang Cebuano bowlers sa pagpanaw sa gikonsiderar nilang godfather nga si Alexander Lim ug gibaliklantaw ang mga maayong nabuhat sa Philippine Bowling Federation (PBF) officer ngadto sa local bowlers.
Ang kanhi national youth bowler nga si Xyrra Cabusas nagkanayon nga nakab-ot niya ang tanan niyang kalampusan gumikan kang Lim, kinsa maoy presidente sa Prima ug treasurer sa PBF.
“If not for him, I would not be part of the national team,” asoy ni Cabusas, kinsa usa na karon ka licensed civil engineer, sa interbyu sa SunStar Cebu. “He’s the foundation of my bowling career.”
Si Cabusas nagsugod isip sakop sa Team Prima niadtong 2008 Hangtod nga nahimo siyang sakop sa national youth team ug nakarepresentar sa nasod alang sa World Youth Championships.
“He’s the reason why players outside of Manila are now competing in the national tournaments. He was the one who told us bowlers from Cebu, Bacolod and Davao to compete in Manila and even outside the country,” dugang ni Cabusas.
Si Lim maoy tigsuporta sa local players aron makasalmot og kompetisyon sa Manila ug gawas sa nasod ubos sa kampo sa Team Prima.
“The trips are sponsored by him, even our hotel accommodations. And If you win, he will never ask anything from you,” pasabot ni Cabusas.
Matod ni Cabusas nga dihang nasayran niya ang kamatayon ni Lim sa social media, wala dayon siya mituo gumikan kay naatol kini sa April Fools’ Day (Abril 1).
Apan dihang iyang nasuta nga tinuod ang maong taho, matod ni Cabusas nga wala niya napugngan ang pag-agas sa iyang mga luha.
“I did not believe it but when I checked on our Viber Group chat, it was really true. I just cried,” batbat ni Cabusas.
Si Lim nipanaw sa laing kalibutan gumikan sa komplikasyon nga hatod sa makalilisang nga coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Nag-edad siya og 62.
Si Bel Suelto sa Association of Cebu Bowlers Inc. (ACBI) nga gitawag kanhi og Bowling Tenpin Association of Cebu miingon nga usa siya sa daghang bowlers nga natabangan niLim.
“He sponsored bowlers, including me,” asoy sa kanhi presidente sa ACBI.
Si Lim maoy pangulo sa Prima Pasta ug Tenpin Bowling Affiliation of Makati, Inc. sa wala pa siya nahimong PBF board of trustee.
Sa wala pa siya nipanaw, nahimo sab siyang director sa Asian Bowling Federation ug World Bowling.
“He’s the most generous person I know. In spite of being a famous and super rich person, he was the most humble person I’ve known. All our Sinulog Open Tournament, Prima is always the presentor. For me, he was a luminary, a legend in generosity,” batbat ni Suelto.
Pinaagi sa Facebook, si ACBI president Clarence Tiu nagpadayag sa iyang dakong pasalamat ngadto kang Lim.
“Tito Alexander Lim, thank you for everything. You will surely be missed in the entire bowling community. Rest in Peace, Manong,” Facebook messege ni Tiu. (RSC, ESL)
