Pampanga coronavirus cases now 20

PAMPANGA’S coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases have reached a total of 20 confirmed cases, almost 100 percent rise in a single day with the total number of deaths rising to five as of Friday, April 3.

The Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (Pesu) reported nine new cases as of Thursday, April 2.

The City of San Fernando has the most number now with four confirmed cases. Macabebe, Porac and San Simon town each have two confirmed cases. Candaba town, for the first time, reported two confirmed cases. Mabalacat City, Bacolor, Angeles City, Lubao and Apalit each recorded one confirmed case.

Pesu said that deaths among the provinces patients under investigation (PUIs) have risen to seven. Some 18 PUIs are still currently admitted while 55 have already been discharged.

Some 84 PUIs with mild symptoms have already been sent home according to the Pesu.

Some 5,907 persons under monitoring (PUMs) are still undergoing home quarantine.
