Covid-19 cases in Bacolod surges to 7

THE Department of Health (DOH) in Western Visayas has reported another positive coronavirus disease (Covid-19) case in Bacolod City bringing the number to seven.

The health department in the region, in its latest bulletin, said the new patient is a 48-year old male with travel history in Los Angeles, USA and Manila.

He is Western Visayas’ patient 26 in and has a close contact with patient 14.

The DOH said the new patient has hypertension and polymyositis, still with dry cough and now in stable condition.

Bacolod City, still, ranks second in terms of having the highest number of positive Covid-19 cases in the region next to Iloilo province with 11.

For the the whole Western Visayas, the DOH has already reported a total of 30 cases as of yesterday, April 3.

Health authorities earlier confirmed a local transmission in the city due to the increasing number of confirmed positive cases.
