Solo parents to get cash assistance

ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin, Jr. has earmarked P5-million financial assistance to solo parents here.

Lazatin said each solo parent will receive P1,000 cash assistance from the city government as the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) entered its third week.

Lazatin said the city government will extend its assistance to all sectors of society in these trying times where most residents were unable to work and make ends meet.

Lazatin has expressed his gratitude to Angelenos for keeping up with the ECQ which is intended to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus or COVID-19 which already infected more than 2,300 Filipinos and killed another 88.

There are about 5,000 registered solo parents in Angeles City. (PR)
