THE loaves of bread have their pious significance when God indicated his miracle of feeding 5,000 people of Israel with five loaves of bread and two fishes and ended having 12 baskets filled with leftovers.

Merzci, a company put up by CM & Sons Food Products, Inc. with Jonathan Lo serving as their President and CEO shared more than 10,000 loaves of bread and other goodies such as Piaya, Biscocho, 32,000 eggs and others to frontliners, barangay workers, police, military and other people in Bacolod and others parts of Negros Island as well as in Barangay Lahug, Cebu, who are serving the community due to the coronavirus disease.

Femmy Lee A. Magbanua, Marketing Manager for PR and Events said since the early stage of the enforcement of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Bacolod City and in the province, Mr. Lo decided to allocate breads and other products to be provided to several sectors who are performing great service to their fellowmen.

As times are harsh due to Covid, the company exhibited its social responsibility towards their fellowmen who were also doing the extra mile to carry on a greater responsibility of making everyone safe and well.

They had four separate batches of deliveries to these sectors from end of March and the last delivery was on April 7.

These modest aids gave them something to eat out while they perform their noble duty in an ECQ situation.

This social responsibility holds up to the company’s mission that indeed, “Merzci Cares,” especially in this time of crisis, Magbanua said.

The battle is not yet over and we pray that we can all endure the hardships prompted by Covid in due time with the cooperation and compliance of everyone.
