City of San Fernando now has 7 Covid positive cases

THE City of San Fernando now has the greatest number of coronavirus positive cases as it reported a total of seven cases as of April 6.

Four of the positive cases are from Barangay San Isidro while another positive case is from Barangay San Agustin. Data from the Department of Health identified two new cases but the city government said that they are still waiting for additional information.

The said two confirmed cases are currently managed by the Department of Health and proper contact tracing was also done. The Regional Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (RESU) said that this city still has some 10 individuals identified as persons under investigation. The city still has some 268 persons under monitoring.

The first fatality related to the coronavirus disease in the city was a patient admitted via the emergency department of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center (OLMMC) on March 9. The patient died on March 11, two days before the test results that confirmed the patient’s infection late night of March 13.
