500 stranded Boholanos in Cebu receive cash aid

A TOTAL of 500 Boholanos who are stranded in Cebu due to the enhanced community quarantine have received cash assistance from the Bohol government.

As of Thursday, April 9, 2020, Bohol Provincial Governor Arthur Yap said they have already released a fund amounting to P900,000.

"We are verifying and cross checking other stranded Bol-anons. We will continue to support them until they come home," Yap said in a text message to SunStar Cebu.

He said the assistance have been sent to affected Boholano through money remittance (Palawan Padala).

"Pero gi-verify muna namo sa info nga gihatag namo. Kontakon namo una ang pamilya (we're still verifying the info that we've received. We will first contact the families," he added.

The ECQ period in Bohol is until April 30. (WBS)
