Western Visayas records zero Covid-19 case on Maundy Thursday

KALIBO, Aklan -- The Department of Health (DOH) registered zero coronavirus disease (Covid-19) case in Western Visayas on Maundy Thursday, April 9.

The DOH said the record remains at 38 Covid-19 positive cases including three recoveries while seven died.

The DOH also registered 22 years old as the youngest and the oldest was 94 years old to have been inflicted with Covid-19.

At present, there are 753 patients under investigation (PUIs) in Western Visayas.

Meanwhile, the Aklan Provincial Government is extending its enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) provincewide until April 30.

This was agreed during an online meeting of Governor Florencio Miraflores together with 17 mayors of Aklan Maundy Thursday morning.
