ILOILO City Mayor Jerry Treñas signed on Monday, April 13, Executive Order (EO) 63, disallowing residents from leaving their houses on weekends as part of the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Under the EO, no one is allowed to leave the house from 12:01 a.m. of April 18 (Saturday) to 11:59 p.m. of April 19, 2020 (Sunday), and from 12:01 a.m. of April 25 (Saturday) to 11:59 p.m. of April 26, 2020 (Sunday).
"Saturdays and Sundays will be totally blocked off for everyone, except only to buy medicine. We will no longer allow everyone to go out of their houses," Treñas said.
He said the EO shall be known as the expanded ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) guidelines.
He said no person shall be allowed to go out of their respective houses during the period of the expanded ECQ and those who need to go to the hospital or pharmacy need to present a quarantine pass.
Wearing of mask is also mandatory in public places, he added.
