Security Bank Corporation thanks partners

THE Security Bank Corporation (SBC) held on Thursday a thanksgiving at the SMX Convention Center Davao to honor its industry partners who have been supportive of the bank all these years.

The celebration was graced by the SBC former president and chief executive officer (CEO) Alberto S. Villarosa, who now sits as chairman of the board after leading the company for 11 years.

The event also formally introduced Alfonso L. Salcedo Jr., who is now taking helm of SBC as its new president and CEO.

Salcedo, or known by friends as "Yogi," assumed the post in April 2015. He has three decades of experience in retail banking and finance after he joined Citibank in 1988 where he served as country marketing director and retail banking business manager for Citibank N.A. Manila.

Recognized as seasoned veteran in the banking industry, he is noted for providing counsel on major financial services, groundbreaking products, high-profile bank resolutions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance to name a few.

He obtained a bachelor's degree in Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University (Admu) where he also completed his elementary and high school. He took up and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School in 2006.

The thanksgiving was hyped up with host Miss World Megan Young, who is the company's endorser, and Asia's Got Talent grand champion El Gamma Penumbra.
