THE Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon is promoting urban gardening amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

“Rektang Urban Gardening sa Kampo” is a flagship project of PRO-Central Luzon wherein portions of Camp Olivas were utilized for fish farming or aquaculture and vegetable garden.

“This is in support to the Department of Agriculture’s Kadiwa program to serve more people and ensure the unhampered supply of fresh produce,” Police regional director Police Brigadier General Rhodel Sermonia said.

Sermonia led the harvest of tons of produce including fresh okra, eggplants, tomatoes, chili pepper and tilapia.

“This will help provide additional fish and vegetable supply among our personnel, and of course, the needy during this time of crisis,” Sermonia added.

Other banner projects initiated by PRO-Central Luzon during ECQ which include Rektang Bayanihan, Adopt a Family and Food Bank. (PIA-Central Luzon)
