“BA’T Ikaw Pa” may be Zairish Alcasid’s recording debut, but she is no stranger to songwriting and performing, having joined competitions and gigs even as a budding teenager.
Born in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, Zairish’s songwriting debut in 2018 was the quirky Bisaya pop tune “Ambot Uy” interpreted by fellow Viva Records artist Warlyn Gallaza. Such opportunity opened doors for her to perform alongside stars Nadine Lustre and Sam Concepcion for their “Indak” mall tour and John Roa for his “Amgu” album launch in Cebu City.
Zairish, 21, brings that innate charm onstage as she wields her guitar like a wand that’s about to cast its spell. Despite her shyness, she looks forward to the day when she can put her acting skills to good use. Her remarkable performance in the music videos “Di Na Ko Madutlan” and “Ambot Uy” gives us a glimpse of how far this young lady can go given the opportune time.
Download and stream “Ba’t Ikaw Pa” on all major digital retail stores as well as on YouTube, and request for airplay on radio networks around the country. Spotify included it in its OPM Workday Marathon and New Music Friday playlists. (PR)
