TO BE healed is to become well or whole again from Covid-19 affected areas to Covid-free communities. The coronavirus hits mankind physically, emotionally, economically and spiritually. It has distorted sane minds and caused a chasm in the policy of some world leaders.
Up to this time, advancement in science and the super intelligence of men have not found a solution to curtail the acceleration of Covid-19. If this virus is impregnable, then it needs a force from the omnipotent Creator and Ruler of the universe for its destruction. Only God can crush its crown.
God has the answer for our suffering. “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthian 12:9) “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.” (Psalm 91:3) “The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.” (Psalm 121:7)
These are only some of the statements from the Holy Bible that assures us that healing in uncertain time like this could only come from God. Our salvation from Covid-19 is at hand but we have first to become truthful before the eyes of God. If we believe that there is no free lunch, God wants also that we have to do something for our salvation.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:16) “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:31) “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Covid-19 is a pandemic and we all fall to a pandemonium. Some started to blame China, the bats, the pangolin and a few even suspect that this latest coronavirus mutant came from an American military laboratory developing bio-chemical weapons. Many fanatics say that this is a curse from God. Confusion reigns the heart of men.
The frustrated poorest of the poor panic and condemn the government for the delayed delivery of food assistance packages. Many see political biases when some mayors prioritized their own voters. Many reviled the barangay officials and the staff of DSWD for the confusion in the listing of the recipients for the social amelioration.
Some morons even berated our frontliners who risk their lives to save the patients. They were treated as outcast in their communities because they work in the hospital isolation rooms. Even some taxi drivers refuse to take them to their quarters. Some owners of boarding houses are driving them out as if they are lepers.
Lord, heal the world... mend our broken lives...restore mankind. Only God can defeat the undefeatable. If Jesus is the way and the life, mankind has to look up on what Jesus did. Jesus wants us to love one another. That is not what is happening in the world. The leaders of men want to be strong so that the weak can just be dictated. Leaders aspire to have sophisticated weapon of mass destruction to dominate politics, economics and even religion.
Those who are powerful believe so much on what they can do. They have forgotten that there is a God who rules over creation... even the unseen. Greed and pride are classmates in shifting the virtues and values of men and their leaders. Man has forgotten that he is mortal. His life on the flesh and wealth will come to an end anytime if death strikes.
God has allowed Covid-19 to make its world tour to remind us to take good care of the environment, to dissolve our pride, to narrow down our excessive ambition, to go over our prejudices, to diffuse our hunger for flesh, and to take good care of other God’s creatures who have less in life.
We have to accept our faults, renew ourselves, reconcile to all those whom we have offended and be one with God in healing our world. Covid-19 will not listen to our struggles if we do not make a firm commitment to change what should be changed. God heals but He only heals those who want to be healed.
Believed that we can be healed. The government directs us on what to do. God heals us from the heart. Start with yourself... with your family... impress the community with a new you... the world will just follow. God is good.
