BIZARRE syringe artist Kimberly Joy Mallo-Magbanua of Valladolid, Negros Occidental has once again been drawn by her fascination to create art pieces as homage to fellow frontliners who are risking their lives to thwart the deadly coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Kimberly, a registered nurse working at Valladolid District Hospital, put together thoughts that came out of her mind blended with her emotions that perfectly encapsulated her high sense of nationalism and commitment to the medical profession with the use of syringe, a device that she uses to save lives.
Her art pieces have again captured the attention of the media that found her artwork extraordinarily impressive.
Her new artworks were dubbed as “Inang Bayan” which refers to the Philippines presently battling against the coronavirus disease pandemic with Luzon as the mostly hit region in the country.
She said she got inspired by the thoughts that popped into her mind, so she painted a syringe art and wrote a poem about it.
“I named the painting ‘Inang Bayan’ as
our motherland is sick. She needs you to heal. She’s battling inside the operating room now.
Can we help her move to recovery room,
or help her transfer to the ward as soon as possible?”
She urged everyone to spread love and hope so that we will heal as one. One love, one nation.
She strives that in the name of God almighty, “Inang Filipinas” will be discharged soon. So be it.
