2 dead in Ilog town road accident

A DRIVER and his helper died after their truck loaded with boxes of fish for delivery collided with another truck at Barangay Dancalan Highway in Ilog Tuesday morning, April 21.

The victims were identified as Michael Castillo, driver, resident of Purok 4, Barangay 2, Hinobaan and Nico Along, 18, helper, resident of Sitio Batilo, Barangay Pook, Hinoba-an.

Based on the traffic investigation of Ilog Police Station, about 7:20 a.m. of April 21, the back right tire of the truck driven by Castillo burst which caused him to lose control of the wheel and accidentally bump to an approaching Isuzu Truck with plate no. NPS 957 driven by Jesmilo Godinez, 48, and resident of Barangay 2, Ilog.

The victims were brought to Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City but were pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
