THOSE seeking medical consultations, may it be Covid-19 or non-coronavirus related questions can now do it in the safety of their own homes with the launching of the telemedicine in Cagayan de Oro.
The City Health Office (CHO) said its doctors has catered 17 individuals since they launched the teleconsultation early this week.
City health officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said out of the 17 patients, two of them have mild symptoms of respiratory illness (ARI). However, upon validation, they are not considered as Covid-19 suspects.
“The more consultations on our FB page, the better kay makadugang pud sa atong (because it will add to amplify) surveillance,” she said.
The Facebook page, CDO City Health Office Doctors is open from Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Nery urged the public to avail the teleconsultation services to ensure healthy living amid the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) also offers its own teleconsultation services through the following hotline numbers: 09106201076 for Internal Medicine, 09106200903 for Pediatrics, 09106201098 for Surgery, and 09106200868 for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Bernard Rocha, NMMC medical officer said they will expand their services to several sub-specialties next week to cater more patients.
