Foodpanda food picks

Foodpanda food picks

THESE past few weeks had been a personal ping-pong from cooking to Foodpanda to cooking and to Foodpanda again. But living far from family, I’ve learned how tiring and time-consuming cooking for myself can be. So I sometimes opt for food deliveries especially when I crave for a specific delicacy.

For days of ordering online, I made a list of the best food experiences I had with Foodpanda’s merchant partners.

1. India Spice Resto

My orders Butter Naan and Cheese Naan were still steaming hot when they arrived. It made dipping to the spicy hot Dal Tadka a better experience. I’m personally cautious when ordering for spicy food as I am not a huge fan but India Spice Resto has the best level of spiciness for people craving for authentic Indian food.

It was the first time I ordered Indian food for delivery and I was not disappointed. It’s something that I would recommend for people looking for that specific spicy tang whatever time of day it is.

2. Basement Gastropub

One thing my close friends know about me is my fondness for chicken wings. During this quarantine season, the craving for good chicken wings did not escape me. I ordered the garlic-flavored and the salted egg-flavored chicken wings and an additional mustard dip.

I wasn’t really a fan of how runny the consistency of the dip is, when I was expecting a mayo-like consistency but both I was really happy with how the chicken wings tasted. Cravings satisfied!

3. Kargo Davao

On one random afternoon while I was working in the office, I suddenly felt the urge to eat chicken skin. Normally, it’s something you find in bars served as pulutan or outside the schools sold with the other street foods. It’s not something usually sold in FoodPanda.

But I remember stumbling upon that one single resto that sells chicken skin but I don’t remember the name. One-by-one, I searched for the menu of restaurants available at that particular hour. That’ when I learned that not many serve chicken wings through Foodpanda.

When my order from Kargo Davao arrived, the chicken skin is still so hot, I was so happy! Cravings satisfied!

4. Maura Shore Creamery

There is only one local ice cream in Davao City that I would without having to think twice. Maura Shore’s ice cream are those of the premium type but for the quality of its taste and the ingredients used, one would really think it’s worth the amount paid.

They come in different rare flavors but my favorites are the Brown Butter Pecan, the Mango Float, and the Coldbrew Coffee.
