THE 303rd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army, together with 5th Philippine Air Force Reserve Center (5th ARCen) and 14th Civil Military Operations Battalion personnel, continued to provide manpower and transportation assistance during the hauling and distribution of family food packs to the affected families due to the Covid-19 in Negros Occidental, Monday, April 27.

A total of 3,000 family food packs were hauled and will be distributed to the different parts of the province. This is in line with the continued implementation of the modified community quarantine in the entire Negros Occidental in order to further prevent the spread of the Covid-19.

The additional family food packs will be distributed all over the province, particularly to the affected families due to Covid-19.

The said activity was initiated by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Western Visayas to provide relief augmentation to the communities.

"Your Army in Negros will continue our mandate especially in supporting the efforts of the local government unit to prevent and contain the possible spread of Covid-19 in the province. We will continue to provide troops or manpower as well as our mobility assets for the people of Negros. With the help of other IATF member we will ensure the swift and unhampered distribution of relief goods to alleviate the affected families in the province," said Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd Infantry Brigade commander.

"Once again, I urge our fellow Negrense to do our part to help our government to fight against the Covid-19. Let's obey and follow all the guidelines and safety protocols set forth by our government to help contain Covid-19," Pasaporte added.
