A SOUTHEAST Asian gold medalist will setup a fundraising drive to help children and families in Baguio City affected by the current Covid-19 pandemic.

2019 SEAG poomsae freestyle gold medalist Joerdan Dominguez will be spearheading the fundraising drive in bid to help those families in dire need of basic goods.

“I am Jeordan Dominguez from the Cordillera. I’m a national athlete in the discipline of taekwondo under the Philippine Taekwondo Association. As we all know this pandemic came as a surprise to everyone, lots of people lost their jobs, most people lost everything when this pandemic happened,” Dominguez said in a Facebook post.

The fund raising can be accessed thru https://www.airfunding.net/project/85621 which already started this week.

Airtripp Funding is a gathering place for people who need to raise funds to make a big impact in others life, their own life or even a whole community. Project owners can run a project on behalf of other people or for themselves, and be supported by relatives, friends or even people they don’t know.

All projects have their own funding goal and time limit and the amount collected for a project will be delivered to the owner once the time limit has passed, regardless if the goal has been met or not.

“I am a dad of three boys and one of the lucky ones to have saved up for emergencies like this. But many of our people does not have the means to survive this long, people who lost their jobs have kids/babies who needs our help. I’m doing this fund raising to give a helping hand to those mothers and fathers who cannot afford to buy milk, diaper, food and medicines for their little ones,” he said.

“I’ve seen a lot of posts lately mothers pleading people to give them milk to feed their infants, some feeding their babies with water w/ sugar or feeding them w/ coffee and water, and it breaks my heart putting my shoes in theirs. So, I’m knocking on your kind hearts all funds that would be raised from this will go to those who are in need w/in Baguio City. A little kindness goes a long way! Advance thank you from the bottom of my heart!” Dominguez added.
