BFAR disperses 400,000 fingerlings in Masantol



DESPITE the ongoing enhanced community quarantine, the Bureau of Fisheries and the Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-Central Luzon was able to disperse tilapia fingerlings in this coastal Masantol town.

The agency, through its Technological Outreach Station for Brackish Water, packed, loaded and delivered 70,000 iBEST fingerlings to, to the local government here.

BFAR-Central Luzon director Wilfredo Cruz latest delivery marked the completion 400,000-fingerling commitment made by BFAR to the rural fisherfolk of Masantol.

“The goal is to provide them with much needed input assistance to improve their farm yield and hopefully lead to an increase in the production of tilapia aquaculture in Pampanga,” he said.
