EVERYBODY is talking new normal for all areas of life. But how many are talking new personal normal, the collective of which should determine the new normal in politics, business, education, religion, etc. and not the other way around as in pre-pandemic times?
We are restless, panicky, or depressed because we are so used to treating everything in life, including people, as possessions. Those in government and big business who control life on earth have programmed us to define success as having more. Accordingly we subconsciously, unthinkingly, spend our lives getting more.
We are now emotionally unplugged because the be-all and end-all of our existence, having more, has been wrenched away from us. Heck, we can’t even have our favorite haircut or coiffure. On the bright side, Covid-19 is gifting us with a rare opportunity to meet ourselves, know who we really are and who will be the new us during and after the pandemic.
At this meeting with ourselves, we could discover that we are children of nature. We could next realize that our life is nature’s gift that we can best appreciate by sharing and using it to protect all life on earth.
Instead, therefore, of treating objects in nature, including people, as possessions we might instead want to be so possessed by nature as to do nothing but what is good for all, especially people, in nature.
This is extremely difficult in a world driven by the need to compete for more of everything in life. In this process there have to be winners and losers, the winners usually taking all. But Covid-19 should have sufficiently shown that all our possessions are of no help when nature takes back what it has given us, our life and everything else we took from her.
Science is nearing realization that the tiniest particle of matter is not matter at all but a spiritual reality that is the source of life and consciousness. Matter and spirit are dimensions of this Spirit that some call Love or God, Gaia, Great Spirit, etc.
Thus, we should be becoming one in Love. But we are not because those who control us politically and economically are programming us in the old normal of competing to win over, and have more than, others. Thus divided we actually help those in control to have more while we get much less for all our striving and grasping.
As a child of Love or of whatever name you want to call our bonding Spirit, being or becoming more or even the best of who we are, in short sharing and not getting, would have to be our new personal normal.
The most critical feature of our new identity is the courage to reject control by those who destroy nature and life with their greed for more. Only then will a truly new socio-economic order come about.
