A TOTAL of 80,587 qualified beneficiaries of the social amelioration program (SAP) in Davao Region were up for consideration by the national government for the additional cash subsidy.

DSWD-Davao regional director Grace Subong reported that the agency has already submitted to the national government the list of families qualified for the cash subsidy but were not covered in the allocation by their respective local government units (LGUs).

Malacañang recently announced that an additional five million families will receive cash aid under the SAP.

“Kani siyang tanan, ato nang gi-submit sa Central Office, ila na ning gi-consolidate didto and we are hoping nga kani siyang atong figure, mabalik sa atoa in a form of the funds para ato siyang ma-distribute sa atong mga gitawag nato nga mga left out beneficiaries (We submitted the list to the Central Office for consolidation. We are hoping it will return to us in a form of funds),” Subong said.

However, she said she cannot assure that all of these beneficiaries will be covered since it will still undergo the deliberation of other government agencies.

“Although we submitted this number, istudyohan man gud ni sa atong mga nagkalain-laing ahensya like PSA (Philippine Statistics Authority), DOF (Department of Finance), and (DBM) Department of Budget and Management (It will still be studied by PSA, DOF, and DBM),” she said.

“Basin sa national consolidation, naa gyu’y mga region nga nalapaw na hinoon sa ilang population. Mao na ang gipang-analyze. Kung unsay mucome up mao na atong ipadisseminate sa ubos (There might be instances that the numbers will exceed the population of a region. We will distribute whatever is allocated for us),” she added.

Subong also noted that the numbers which were provided by the LGUs are still based on estimation.

“Mao ni ang atong indicative because the time nga nangayo ta sa mga figures, ongoing pa even ang ilang pag finalize sa ilang beneficiaries within their allocation. Mao ni ang hagit nato karon sa tanang mga LGUs to really give us the final lists (This is still indicative because when we asked the LGUs for figures, they are still finalizing their beneficiaries),” she said.
