NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said there is no suspected local transmission of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Negros Occidental.
Lacson said the six confirmed positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Negros Occidental all have travel history outside of the province, and most of them are overseas Filipino workers.
The latest two to have tested positive for the virus, Patients No. 5 and 6 have recently arrived in the country from Brazil and Dubai respectively.
Patient No. 5 is a resident of La Castellana town, while Patient No. 6 is a resident of Escalante City. Both are asymptomatic.
Lacson added after learning of their results on Wednesday, health officials immediately moved the two patients to the provincial healing center in EB Magalona for treatment.
