ROTARY clubs from the Rotary International Dist. 3790 Cluster 1-C joined hands in donating the needed Personal Protective Equipment for the frontliners of the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.

At least 100 sets of PPE with Regular shoe cover, 60 boxes of face mask containing 100 pieces, and 160 sets of cover all or bumny suits were given.

The turnover of donations took place at Crown Legacy parking grounds on May 12 with Cluster 1-C “Champion Team” Assistant Governor Karl Gabaen leading the activity. BGHMC Medical Chief Dr. Ricardo Runez Jr recieved the items.

Gabaen said the project realized through Rotary District 3790 Grant 2089351 under the Disaster Response Grant was initiated by Cluster 1-C Rotary Club of Metro Baguio Club Secretary Audrey Sungduan said the project aims to give assistance to the medical frontliners by providing them the PPE’s which they need amid the fight against covid-19 pandemic.

Cluster 1-C “Champion Team” Assistant Governor Gabaen said the donation effort was initiated by the officers under his team.

“The donated the PPE’s particularly to the frontliners at mas importante sa Baguio General Hospital, sa Mountain Province, at sa Benguet General Hospital to help fight Covid,” he said.

The donation turnover was also made possible in coordination with the Baguio City Police Office City Advisory Council.

The RI Cluster 1-C is led by of RC Baguio Pres Gormito Kaur, RC Baguio North president Victor Agcoaili, RC Baguio South president Rowena Tabanda, RC Metro Baguio president Ofelia Villanueva, RC La Trinidad president Myrna Sison, RC Downtown Session president Mike Tank, RC Baguio Summer Capital president Cecilio Cid, RC Baguio Sunrise president Geraldine Fajardo, and RCBH president Tom Panis.

With every one helping, there is no doubt that the country will surely overcome the covid-19 crisis.
