19,000 senior Angelenos get cash aid, vitamins

AT LEAST 19,724 registered senior citizens from 21 villages here have recently received P1,000 financial assistance and Vitamin C supplements from the Angeles City Government. The other 36,091 senior citizens from 12 villages will receive their cash aid and vitamins in the coming days. Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., announced on April 7 through an advisory posted in the City Information Office (CIO) Facebook page, that all 55,815 registered senior citizens will receive assistance from the city government, which are delivered thru house-to-house visits. “As long as a senior citizen has an ID and is registered with the city government, they will receive the same assistance,” Lazatin said. Lazatin allotted P55.815 million for the financial assistance, and P20 million for the Vitamin C supplements of senior citizens.
