CLARK FREEPORT -- Premier shopping mall SM City Clark has re-opened its doors on Monday, May 18, with strict safety rules for their tenants and shoppers.

Adapting to the “new normal,” customers will experience #SafeMallingAtSM as the mall strictly implements its “No Mask, No Entry” policy, body temperature scanning, and physical distancing for its employees and shoppers before entering the mall premises.

The mall’s SM Store has a digital counter of the number of shoppers inside the department store to maintain about only 30 percent of its capacity. Store staff including cashiers and baggers are also wearing face masks and face shields, and practices physical distancing.

Meanwhile, a Safety Protocol Officer (SPO) is deployed around the mall to assist customers while a Specialized Sanitation Team regularly disinfects high touch areas such as grocery carts, baskets, elevator buttons, ATM buttons, restroom surfaces, and handrails.

The mall also implements a one-step apart rule when using the escalator while elevator will only carry 50 percent of its load capacity. The mall also observes one-way movement in aisles.

Restaurants that have resumed operations inside the mall provide spaced out chairs to customers waiting for their turns. Food tenants accommodate take away and for delivery orders for the meantime.
