‘Most wanted’ arrested in Baybay City

POLICE arrested on Tuesday, May 19, a most wanted person accused of rape in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.

Christopher Casil, 40, single and laborer, was nabbed in his residence at Barangay Amguhan, Baybay City, Leyte at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The operating units included Baybay City Police Station led by Lieutenant Colonel Alberto Renomeron Jr., chief of police, and Bayawan City Police, Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office led by Major Roland Desiree Lavisto, DCOP.

Aside from rape, the accused is also facing the crime on acts of lasciviousness and other acts of abuse.

The warrant of arrest, dated March 14, 2019, was issued by Honorable Gerardo Paguio, Jr., acting presiding judge, Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 63, 7th Judicial Region of Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.

No recommended bail bond for qualified rape, P80,000 for other acts of abuse and P200,000 for other acts of lasciviousness, police said.

Casil was brought to Baybay City Police Station for documentation prior turn-over to the court of origin. (SunStar Philippines)
