18 new Covid-19 cases in Cebu City

THE Cebu City Government has announced 18 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

The 18 new Covid-19 cases came from Barangays Pasil (seven); Duljo (three); Sawang Calero (two); Suba (two); Tejero (one); Mambaling (one); Labangon (one); and Apas (one).

There are also four new laboratory negative, which were from Barangays Apas (two); Luz (one); and Kalunasan (one).

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Cebu City is now at 1,782.

The Cebu City Government has also lifted the lockdown in Sitio Zapatera in Barangay Luz, Cebu City on Wednesday.

Mayor Edgardo Labella issued a memorandum to the Philippine National Police (PNP), Cebu City Health Department and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office for the lifting of the lockdown.

Barangay Luz officials placed Sitio Zapatera under lockdown on April 7 after recording its first Covid-19 case.

Cebu City is still under an enhanced community quarantine, which will last until May 31. (JJL)
