THE City Health Office (CHO) said six individuals in Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental have tested negative for the new virus that causes the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
CHO head Dr. Lorraine Nery said swab results from the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) arrived Wednesday, May 20, and showed negative results for a 23-year-old female from Barangay Bugo; a 26-year-old health worker from the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC); a 37-year-old employee of the CHO; a 76-year-old from Cagayan de Oro; a 72-year-old from Manticao, Misamis Oriental; and an 84-year-old male from Alubijid, Misamis Oriental.
The NMMC also reported three new admissions as of May 20: a 57-year-old female from outside Cagayan de Oro, who was admitted due to complaints of shortness of breath and community acquired pneumonia; an 83-year-old male admitted due to shortness of breath and community acquired pneumonia-high risk; and a 65-year-old female from outside Cagayan de Oro with complaints of shortness of breathing, community acquired pneumonia-high risk, and has coronary artery disease.
All of them are still for swabbing.
Meanwhile, NMMC medical officer Dr. Bernard Rocha said they have yet to start their Covid-19 testing.
"Currently, we are still waiting for the certificate of proficiency from the RITM so we can already start testing," he said.
