BFAR Central Luzon provides fingerlings for quarantine affected areas

THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Central Luzon provided more than 100,000 fingerlings of tilapia, common carp and post-larvae ulang for the stock replenishment of Tubo-tubo and Maguindong Dams both in Dinalupihan, Bataan in a bid to help families, who derived their livelihood from the areas, affected by quarantine measures.

The dispersals were held last May 14 through the joint efforts of the Provincial Fisheries Office and the Dispersal team and the never-ending support of Mayor Maria Angela Garcia.

The BFAR said the man-made structures were provided with much needed boost to continue to help support the food supply for barangay Saging, Luakan, San Ramon, Sta. Isabel and Layac.

BFAR-NFFTC and the Technological Outreach Stations for Brackish and Fresh Water supported the activity by working round the clock to ensure that only the best quality supply reaches the community.
