RESIDENTS of local government units under general enhanced community (GCQ) are now allowed to swim in beaches and rivers from 6 a.m. to 12 noon, but not outside of their towns or cities.

Cebu Police Provincial Director Roderick Mariano said swimming in neighboring towns will only be allowed if permitted by the receiving town or city.

Mariano reminded the public that even if restrictions have been relaxed under GCQ, minimum health standards like social distancing should still be observed since the threat of the coronavirus remains. (AYB)
