Si Mayor Edgardo Labella nagkanayon nga ang Cebu City naka-test na og 10,376 ka mga sample sa wala pa gilusad ang Project Balik Buhay (PBB) nga gisalmotan sa Mandaue ug Lapu-Lapu City.
Ang mayor nagkanayon nga moabot na sa 25,388 ka mga sample sa tibuok dakbayan kon idugang ang bag-ong nakuhaan sa rapid test sa miaging duha ka semana, ug mas labaw kini og 8,000 kon itandi sa Lapu-Lapu City kinsa naka-test og 17,007 para sa PBB.
"We have conducted a strategic and more scientific approach because as early as March before this Project Balik Buhay (PBB), the City Government has already made the swab testing and contact tracing which is considered as the most reliable. In fact an official from DOH Manila considered Cebu City as the golden standard in swab testing and other approach to fight against Covid-19," pasabot ni Labella.

Gitumbok sa mayor ang aktibo nga pagsusi sa mga medical personnel sa City Health Department sa mga tawo nga nahimamat sa mga unang nagpositibo ug ang pag-prepara dayon sa siyudad sa barangay isolation center nga maoy istaran sa mga asymptomatic Covid-16 positive.
"Because of our active and more efficient testing, contact tracing and isolation which are the most important components in fight against Covid-19 which was considered by DOH Manila official as the golden approach fort this pandemic," dugang sa mayor.
