Bacolod police eye 2 angles behind businessman’s slay

THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is eyeing two angles in the killing of Roland Tan in Narra Street, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, on May 21.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Friday, May 22, that they are looking into personal grudges or business as possible motives in the killing of Tan.

Tan, a businessman, was about to board his Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle when three unidentified assailants approached and shot him at about 5 p.m. Thursday.

The victim sustained fatal wounds in his right ear and chest. He was brought to the Riverside Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival (DOA).

The suspects, who were wearing masks, fled to unknown direction.

Pico said they are facing difficulty in identifying the perpetrators because there are no witnesses and no closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera in the area.

He said the investigators of Police Station 4 are still gathering evidences to determine the identities of the three suspects.
