Cebu City Covid-19 death toll rises to 23

THE Cebu City Heath Department (CHD) on Saturday, May 23, 2020, reported four new deaths due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Cebu City.

The latest mortalities were residents of Barangays Duljo, Ermita, Hipodromo and Punta Princesa.

With the new mortalities, the Covid-19 dealth toll in Cebu City has risen to 23.

The CHD also recorded 18 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday.

The new cases came from Duljo (two); Block 3, Suba (three); Alveola Street, Tejero (one); Enriquez, Punta Princesa (one); Hipodromo (one); Villa Manga, Basak Pardo (one); Mambaling (three); Lincoln St., Ermita (two); Labangon (one); Panaghiusa, Basak San Nicolas (one); and Magsaysay Street, Pasil (two).

Cebu City now has 1,872 Covid-19 positive patients with 116 laboratory negative. (JJL)
