SA PAGSEGURO sa mas maayong serbisyo ug pagpalambo sa kasinatian sa mga pasahero sa pagsulod sa bag-ong normal, ang Light Rail Transit Administration (LRTA) nihatag og pagtugot sa Globe sa pagtukod sa iyang network capacity sa LRT2 samtang ang Metro Manila ubos sa modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) tungod sa Covid-19 pandemic.
Uban sa pag-abag sa LRTA, ang Globe nagbutang og daghang cell sites sa gitas-on sa LRT2’s line gikan sa Santolan Station sa Quezon City ngadto sa Recto Station sa Manila.
“This is the perfect opportunity for Globe to improve its services along our route. The ECQ has prevented us from operating, but as they say when a door gets shut, a window opens. Globe can build and expand its capacity while the trains are not allowed to transport passengers. We expect that when the ECQ is lifted and thousands of passengers go back to riding our trains, they will find comfort that they will have good and reliable service while they travel,” matod ni Retired Police General ug LRTA Administrator Reynaldo Berroya.
Ang LRT 2 line o Megatren usa ka rapid transit line sa Metro Manila nga dunay 11 stations nga nagsilbi sa dili mominos 180,000 ngadto sa 240,000 ka sumasakay matag adlaw sa wala pa gipatuman ang ECQ.
Ang Megatren milangkob sa dili mominos 17 kilometros gikan sa Santolan ngadto sa Recto uban sa dugang duha ka stations nga gitrabaho, ang Masinag ug Emerald alang sa iyang expansion.
