MEET Edson Glauber and his mother Maria do Cormo of Itapiranga in the Amazon jungles of Brazil. To them, the Blessed Mother appeared as Queen of the Rosary and of Peace” starting 1994. Through them, the Blessed Mother urged all to pray the rosary daily, to abandon television (perhaps the internet too had it existed at that time), to go to Confession, to receive the Eucharist (which we can’t readily do now because of Covid 19).
In the Itapiranga apparitions, the Blessed Mother also warned that a “torrent of chastisements” was coming.
Edson was shown Heaven, Purgatory and Hell. To mother and son, Jesus Christ Himself gave various teachings on the family. The apparitions also urged special devotion to St. Joseph’s Most Chaste Heart.
Bishop Dom Carillo Gritti of the Diocese of Itacoatiara approved the 1994-1998 phase of the apparitions as "supernatural" in origin on May 31, 2009 and personally laid the cornerstone of a new Sanctuary in Itapiranga on May 2, 2010. Mariologist Dr. Mark Miravalle of Steubenville University wrote favorably on the apparitions in a book entitled The Three Hearts: Apparitions of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph from the Amazon.
Later, however, the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, for some reasons, reversed Gritti’s, but never condemned either the apparitions or the messages.
Followers of the Itapiranga apparitions, however, have noted the urgency of the times and the messages, and are not wasting time spreading them, noting that at some point in history, the same congregation had initially listed as prohibited the writings of St. Faustina Kowalska of the Divine Mercy.
On June 11, 1997, the Blessed Mother cited to Edson and his mother the apparitions of the Holy Family in Ghiaie de Bonate in northern Italy during the 1940s of which Edzon was initially totally unaware. She said:
“Dear children, when I appeared in Ghiaie di Bonate with Jesus and St. Joseph, I wanted to show you that later on the whole world should have a great love to the Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph and to the Holy Family, because Satan would attack the families very profoundly in this end of times, destroying them. But I come again, bringing the graces of God, Our Lord, to grant them to all the families most in need of Divine protection.”
At another time, the Blessed Mother told Edson she will leave a visible sign on the Mount of the Cross next to the chapel in Itapiranga. She said:
“Beloved son, I wish to tell you this afternoon and to tell all my children the importance to live the messages. For those who do not believe, I wish to tell them that one day, where this Cross is, I will give a visible sign, and all will believe in my maternal presence here at Itapiranga, but it will be too late for those who have not converted. The conversion has to be now! In all the places where I have already appeared and continue to appear, I always confirm my apparitions so that there will be no doubts, and here in Itapiranga, my Heavenly manifestations will be confirmed. This will happen when my apparitions here at Itapiranga will end. All will see the sign given in this Cross; they will repent of not having listened to me, for having laughed at my messages and at my messengers, but it will be too late because they will have dissipated my graces. They will have lost the occasion to be saved. Pray, pray, pray!”
Last May 13 (yes, this year) the Queen of the Rosary and of Peace told Edson as follows:
“Peace to your heart!"
“My son, pray much, because the world greatly needs prayer, as it is about to be punished terribly by the justice of God. Humanity has reached the edge of the abyss and many today are already falling into it, being taken by demons to hell, because they did not live united to God, but doubted the presence of the Lord in the Eucharist: they no longer believed in His holy words, rejecting his Law Divine, transforming the House of God into a den of thieves and terrible offences.
“My son, never as today has Satan gained so much power and space to act within the Church of my Divine Son. He is achieving his evil intent to destroy faith in many souls, leading them to the denial of God and eternal truths, making them accept his deadly poison of errors and lies, which lead to a life without God, far from his divine love.
“Truth and eternal life are only found in God, in my Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is greatly offended. His Divine Justice wishes to punish sinners because of their indifference and contempt for me, your Immaculate Mother. My son, make reparation for the terrible sins committed against me. These sins are drawing terrible punishments and scourges to sinners. The Justice of my Divine Son can no longer endure these sinners and their ingratitude.
“The Angel of the Lord has the fiery sword raised, and with it he wishes to strike the whole world more intensely—all those children of mine who did not want to repent, correcting themselves for their sins, nor to make reparations and sacrifices.
“Within your houses, often pray the prayer that the Angel of Peace taught my shepherd children, prostrating themselves with their faces to the ground, pleading God’s forgiveness for themselves and for sinners in the whole world. The outer signs of prayer and its radiance are disappearing, making way for the dense clouds of darkness and sin which are enveloping the world that has left God aside.
“The Church, Spouse of my Divine Son, the Spotless Lamb, is living her passion, the hours of darkness and neglect, being stripped of her garments and her splendor, through the fault of those who ought to love her, honor her and defend her, making way for a false church without light, without life and without direction, where doubts and uncertainties prevail over all truth, reducing faith to nothing, to mere human and worldly concepts that do not convert and which save no one .
“My son, my Heart suffers because of everything that the Church of My Son is going through and living. I am preoccupied and distressed because of everything that many of my children will have to suffer and endure through the fault of corrupt and faithless men who will lead them to the spiritual death of their souls and the road that leads them to the fire of hell.
“My Heart bleeds because of children and young people who have lost the candor of purity, destroying the virginity of their bodies and the innocence of their souls and their hearts. All of this has contributed to the increased strength and power of the Devil over the world. Many do not understand, and if they do not make an effort, they will never understand, in the world, the value of the prayers of virgin and pure souls. Close your eyes to all that is sinful and worldly, so that the fiery arrows of the infernal enemy would not pierce your souls. Be of God. Love the Lord. Offer him your prayers accompanied by the sweet perfume of your souls impregnated with purity, holiness and good intentions.
“May prayer be your encounter of love with God, accepting and submitting to His Divine Will, so that it would be carried out perfectly in your lives. Save souls for heaven and save yourselves, being obedient to God and his divine calls, for without him you cannot do anything good. I bless you!”
