Police Station 4 chief relieved

POLICE Major Reynante Jomocan, chief of Police Station 4, was relieved from his post effective May 23.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said yesterday that Jomocan was replaced by Police Major Charles Gever of BCPO Admin Office.

He said Jomocan was reassigned to Iloilo City Police Office while Major Gary Allan Resuma from Iloilo City Police Office was also reassigned to BCPO.

The order was released and signed by Police Regional Office-Western Visayas Regional Personnel and Records Management Division (RPRMD) officer-in-charge Colonel Lope Manlapaz.

Pico said the reassignment of Jomocan has nothing to do with the recent shooting incident within his area of jurisdiction.

On May 21, businessman Roland Tan was killed by three unidentified assailants in Narra Street, Barangay Villamonte.

Pico said that before the shooting incident, Jomocan's reassignment was already on the process since his family was in Iloilo City.

"He swapped with Resuma because Resuma's family are also here in Bacolod," he said.

Pico disclosed that it's only normal to the members of the Philippine National Police to be reassigned to other places anytime.
