Teacher nabbed over drugs in Northern Samar

A 39-YEAR-OLD teacher who has been tagged as a "high-value individual" was nabbed in a joint anti-illegal drugs operation in Allen, Northern Samar.

The suspect, Bryan "Brix" Sevilla, married, was arrested around 5:50 p.m. on May 23 in Barangay Jubasan, Allen.

Purchased from the suspect was one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as "shabu" as subject of sale, according to the police.

Confiscated from Sevilla's possession and control were one piece of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, two pieces of P500 with serial numbers F852357 and MK609827 used as drug bust money, one piece P20 with serial number W652293, some coins, purse and one motorcycle.

The operation was led by Allen Municipal Police Station-MDET with Lieutenant Manuel Tadeo and Captain Al-Shamir Hamin, Northern Samar Provincial Police Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unity, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the region. (SunStar Philippines)
