Why despite staying at home, still gets Covid-19?

DEAR Dr. Fritz,

I hope you have a good day. I understand that during this Covid-19 pandemic, we have to stay at home. But some reports have boggled me, because why some people despite of just staying at home, they still get positive with the virus. Why is this happening?

Hope you can shed light. Thanks.

Dear Myrda Mere,

I have heard that, too. Yes, you are right. We have to stay at home during this health crisis to help us flatten the curve. But, even if you stay at home, you can still get the virus, when you receive guests or visitors at home.

Or it might be that you ordered food from online food services, where the messenger or the delivery man is positive with the virus.

As a matter of fact, reports are in that here in Davao City, that a food runner is found to be positive of the virus.

So, if ever you ordered anything from online service, be sure to wash your hands after you receive anything from anyone of the runners.

Don't let those reports deter you from staying at home.

I hope this helps us all. Keep safe everyone. Don't forget to pray.

Good luck!

Dr. Fritz
