Korean dramas invade Negrense homes

PEOPLE find ways on how to deal with boredom induced by the coronavirus disease pandemic.

Undeniably, there are a lot of people who are suffering from this situation due to the limited physical activity and lack of social synergy.

Others are even suffering worse than boredom such as depression and anxiety.

But as an old saying says, that is how life goes.

Recently, Negrenses have been hooked to Korean drama series through Netflix which android phones can excellently deliver to its audience with crisp.

I have asked some locals about this trend and they confirmed saying that they are being entertained by these K-dramas.

Computer layout artist Roger Beltran said that his day could not be made complete without spending time watching his favorite K-drama. “And boredom goes missing,” he said.

Arlene Valerio said K-dramas can make peace reign in her house as her children get occupied with watching their respective choice of K-dramas. “So, I enjoy peace with K-dramas,” she said.

Glazyl Y. Masculino, the journalist said, “that is my stress reliever. Even before the enhanced community quarantine and general community quarantine were implemented in Bacolod City, K-dramas were already part of my life. I am currently hooked watching The King Eternal Monarch starred by South Korean actor Lee Min-ho.”

Jose Montalbo, a businessman, and sports enthusiast said K-dramas are wonderful and he is enjoying too.

Toks Lopez of San Miguel Brewery said, “Watching K-dramas are a big part in easing the boredom. With very good storylines, good looking casts, and nice locations, K-drama is an escape from the craziness caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Atty. Vanessa P. Encabo shared that by watching K-dramas, “Oppa (Dad) and Omma (Mom) is now our term of endearment.”

Mate Espina, a journalist said, “K-dramas keep me out of depression and I feel in love with South Korean actor Hyun Bin, the main actor in the Descendants of the Sun.”

Betina Akino said they have lingered late at night just to finish the K-drama series.
