Emperador posts P51.6B revenues in 2019

EMPERADOR Inc., the world’s largest brandy company owning the iconic Emperador Brandy and Fundador Spanish Brandy de Jerez, registered revenues of P51.6 billion, up 10 percent year on year.

Recurring net profit to parent company went up by five percent to P7 billion.

The company said 2019 was another excellent year for the Scotch whisky segment with the business growing in every major region of the world.

Asia remained a strong driver of growth supported by great results across Europe and North America.

Meanwhile, the company recently announced the extension of its share buyback that began in May 2017 for another 12 months ending on May 16, 2021.

To date, roughly 322 million shares have been bought back, amounting to around P2.2 billion. (PR)
