Comprehensive eye exam during quarantine

THE Covid-19 pandemic has brought us a mixture of positive and negative things. For one, it introduced us to several quarantine levels and forced us to stay at home, which also gave us more time to spend with our loved ones.

During the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), majority of us who are not frontliners were stuck in our homes and had to either work from home or entertain ourselves or make ourselves productive. And most of these activities, however, required us to spend several hours using digital devices such as computer, tablets or mobile phones, watching tv, reading or writing.

ECQ has led to the drastic increase of near-sight activities that overstimulate our eyes and the absence of outdoor activities that should have relaxed our eyes. This overstimulation of the eyes and lack of eye relaxation cause blurring of vision, headache, and fatigue. All these symptoms arise to form a new eye problem called quarantine vision syndrome.

Lucky for us Dabawenyos we have Global Eyecare Center-Abreeza near us.

Global Eyecare Center-Abreeza is equipped with advanced diagnostic eye tests and brand-new eyeglasses and eye medications are available all in one place. They offer comprehensive eye exams with modern ophthalmic facilities, and a complete line of eye care goods in a safe and clean non-hospital environment.

Global Eyecare Center-Abreeza has highly qualified adult and pediatric eye specialists and top-of-the line eyecare facilities to examine any vision and eye health problem. They also have a wide selection of eyeglasses and accessories and a complete supply of all types of eyedrops, eye vitamins, contact lenses, solutions, and other eyecare needs.

Global Eyecare Center-Abreeza is the most convenient and most complete eye clinic anyone can visit this time of health crisis.

Global Eyecare Center-Abreeza is operational starting May 16, 2020, Monday. They have strict protocols to maintain a protected virus-free environment because safety is their number one priority.

They have equipped their staff with neccessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep everyone inside their eye clinic safe. All their frames and clinic facilities are sanitized and disinfected before and after every use.

Aseptic technique is carefully followed inside their examination room and their doctors always replace and dispose their gloves in between patients.

To implement social distancing, only clients who have appointments or have other valid transactions may enter their clinic premises thus they are encouraging patients to book an appointment in advance.

Global Eyecare Center-Abreeza will only accommodate one patient at a time and up to four patients a day.

Patients with appointments will be prioritized over walk-ins. Transactions that do not require an eye exam like selection of eyeglasses frames, ordering of contact lenses and solutions, and purchase of eyedrops or eye vitamins may be entertained without appointments.

Patients younger than 21 years old and older than 60 years old who are not allowed to go outside for non-essential services may coordinate with Global Eyecare Center-Abreeza so that they can be allowed to travel for their eye exam.

Comprehensive eye exam

Unlike routine vision screenings, a comprehensive eye exam can assess your visual system and eye health. It allows your doctor to detect serious vision and eye problems so he/she can recommend more diagnostic or specialized tests as well as implement early interventions and proper management.
