ANG Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa Sabado, Mayo 30, niingon nga nagplano kining himuong rekisitos sa manguli nga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) sa pagpailawom sa on-site tests alang sa novel coronavirus.
Sa usa ka virtual press conference, si DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III niingon nga ang OFWs ipailawom sa test sa di pa ang ilang actual repatriation.
"There have been discussions on how to hasten the process. One is, if possible, before OFWs board the planes in their points of origin, that they be tested already," nagkanayon si Bello.
Kini magseguro nga ang OFWs di na mopuyo pa sa mga pasilidad sa quarantine sa kagamhanan lapas sa 14 ka adlaw, nga tumbas sa incubation period alang sa coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
"Since they were already tested, it can shorten their quarantine days," nagkanayon si Bello.
Laing gitan-aw nilang pamaagi, matod niya, mao ang pagpahigayon og profiling sa manguliay nga OFWs sa di pa ang flight sa pag-uli.
"We want to know their regions already even before they return home. For example, if they are Ilocanos, Bisaya, Bicolanos. This way, we can group them and make the facilitation of their transportation easier," matod sa opisyal.
"We also want them profiled immediately so that when they arrive home, we will already know what type of assistance we will be providing them," dugang ni Bello.

Sa pagkakaron, mga 24,000 ka OFWs ang nakabalik na sa nasod. Sagad kanila gipugos sa pagpapuyo sa mga pasilidad sa quarantine sa kagamhanan lapas sa 14 ka adlaw tungod sa kalangay sa pagpagawas sa ilang Covid-19 test results.

Sa mga alas 6 sa buntag sa Mayo 30, 22,426 na ka nanguli nga OFWs ang nakauli na ngadto sa ilang tagsa ka pamilya.
