DOH: Ubang kaso sa Covid-19 positive sakpan tungod sa PBB

TUNGOD sa Project Balik Buhay (PBB), nakaplagan sa Department of Health (DOH) 7 nga dunay mga barangay sa tulo ka mga siyudad sa Metro Cebu nga way kompirmadong kaso sa coronavirus disease (Covid-19), apan dunay mga lumolupyo nga positibo sa rapid tests.

Pinaagi sa PBB, gipahigayon ang mass rapid testing sa Mayo sa mga Dakbayan sa Sugbo, Mandaue ug Lapu-Lapu.

Target sa tests ang 10 porsyento sa populasyon.

“Based on our scaling model, nakita nato nga kining mga barangay (that) have no active cases by PCR, kadtong ILI-SARI (influenza-like illness-severe acute respiratory infection). Based on our scaling model, we found that these are barangays that have no active cases by PCR, with ILI-SARI,” matod ni Department of Health Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit head Dr. Junjie Zuasula sa usa ka press briefing nga gisibya sa Facebook sa Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV).

“However, because of the study that we have performed, we took samples from their residents; we found that even if they don’t have (Covid-19 cases), there are some residents that have IgM (active infection). They don’t have symptoms but they were exposed (to the virus); they had active exposure. Probably, they had infection,” pagpasabot ni Zuasula.

Ang tawo nga positibo sa IgG, nagpasabot nga duna siyay miaging infection.

Ang positibo sa IgM, nagpasabot nga duna siyay nagpadayon nga infection.

“And at the same time, there are also some residents that already been exposed (to the virus) because they have IgG (past infection),” butyag ni Zuasula.

"So didto namugna ang mao nga proyekto, gipasubay sa usa ka hypothesis aron atong makita ang kaaway hilabi na gayod kadtong dili magpakita og simtoma, mao kana ang pinakadako og challenge," pagpasabot ni DOH 7 Regional Director Dr. Jaime Bernadas sa PBB prevalence survey.

Sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo, dunay 16 ka mga barangay way gitaho nga mga kaso sa Covid-19, apan dunay mga tawo nga positibo sa IgM gikan sa 1.1 porsyento ngadto sa 13.3 porsyento sa usa ka dapit.

Duna say mga dapit sa Mandaue ug Lapu-Lapu nga way mga kaso apan dunay mga lumolupyo nga positibo usab sa IgM.

Kadtong nakaplagan nga positibo sa IgM gipailawom sa Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test kun swab test, nakaplagan nga positibo sa Covid-19, pagpasabot ni Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, DOH 7 chief pathologist.

Gitumbok ni Zuasula ang pipila ka mga kaso sa tulo ka mga dakbayan.

Dunay unom ka mga tawo sa Barangay Pasil nga positibo sa IgM ug asymptomatic, apan dihang gipailawom sa swab test, positibo sila sa Covid-19.

Mao usab kini ang nahitabo sa duha ka mga lumolupyo sa Barangay Maguikay sa Dakbayan sa Mandaue ug walo sa Lapu-Lapu, napalgan silang dunay Covid-19.

"At the outset and pinakadako nato nga challenge mao man ang atong away sa Covid kay lagi atong kontra dili makita. The enemy was invisible, and ato lang armas nga gigamit sa mga doktor ug sa health sector mao lang ang atong clerical acumen,” matod ni Bernadas.

Iyang gitumbok ang PCR, nga makaila sa kagaw, ug ang RAT, nga modeterminar sa reaksyon sa lawas batok sa kagaw, isip mga armas batok sa kaaway nga di makita nga maoy magtumbok sa ilang presensya.

Gitumbok ni Bernadas ang PBB prevalence survey gamit ang PCR ug Rapid Antibody Test nga naghatag sa LGU og galamiton sa pakigbatok sa Covid-19.

Gipasabot usab ni Bernadas nga 80 porsyento sa mga tawo asymptomatic, apan pinaagi sa prevalence survey nailhan kadtong mga tawo nga aktibong nakapanakod sa uban sa mga barangay sa tulo ka mga siyudad.

Ang survey nagpakita nga sa Cebu City, dunay 2.2 porsyento matag 100 ka panimalay nga dunay IgM positive.

Sa Dakbayan sa Lapu-Lapu, dunay 1.4 porsyento ug sa Mandaue, 1.6 porsyento.

Nipasabot si Zuasula nga nisugyot sila og lockdown aning mga barangay nga dunay taas nga IgM positive.

Sa Dakbayan sa Sugbo, walo ka mga barangay ang girekomendar sa DOH 7 nga ipailawom sa enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) bisan kon ang Siyudad ubos na sa general community quarantine (GCQ) sugod karong adlawa, Hunyo 1, base sa presensya sa IgM.
