573 returning Negrenses placed in quarantine facilities

THE Provincial Government of Negros Occidental has 573 returning Negrenses spread across eight public and private quarantine facilities.

Under the executive order issued by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, all returning Negrenses, whether overseas Filipino workers or stranded individuals coming from abroad or areas in the Philippines, are considered as PUMs.

They are housed in the Provincial Healing Center in E.B. Magalano - 41, Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia town - 100 and the Cadiz Quarantine Facility in Cadiz City - 40.

The 18 OFWs who arrived Sunday morning were billeted at Westown Hotel.

Returning OFWs were housed at hotels and pensions in Bacolod City facilitated by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (Owwa).

The biggest bulk of repatriated OFWs are housed at the Kundutel - 121, Limman's Center - 106, Circle Inn - 87, GoHotel - 50, and the Carribean Resort - 10.

These is aside from the 455 PUMs in the different cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental.

Records of the Provincial Incident Management Team showed that as of May 30, there are 1,010 persons under monitoring (PUMs) in the province.

They are being monitored by their respective LGUs.

Returning Negrenses will undergo RT PCR tests.

They will be allowed to go home and will be released from quarantine if the tests show that they are negative of the coronavirus.
