3rd Covid-19 patient in San Simon recovers

THE THIRD coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) patient recorded in San Simon town has recovered, the Municipal Health Office reported Saturday, May 30, 2020.

The male patient, who is a resident of Barangay San Jose, first tested positive for Covid-19 on May 7.

And after his three-week battle with Covid-19, Municipal Health Officer Marline Dela Rosa said the patient has finally tested negative for the disease and is now considered fully recovered.

Currently, all of the infected patients in this town have already recovered.

This makes the municipality Covid-19 free as of the moment as it also has no active suspected or probable cases, Dela Rosa said.

Mayor Abundio "Jun" Punsalan Jr. still reminded the residents to observe health protocols such as wearing of mask, proper hand washing and physical distancing to avoid being infected by the virus.

He stressed that the local government and police will continue with strict monitoring of public places to ensure that all measures are being observed now that Luzon has shifted from Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine to General Community Quarantine.
