Cebu City logs 45 new Covid-19 cases, 18 recoveries

CEBU City on Monday, June 1, 2020, logged 45 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), according to the Cebu City Health Department.

The new 45 confirmed patients are residents of Barangays Apas (one), Basak Pardo (one), Bulcao (one), Calamba (one), Kamputhaw (four), Capitol (one), Cogon Ramos (two), Duljo (three), Ermita (two), Hipodromo (one), Kalunasan (one), Labangon (one), Lahug (two), Lorega (one), Pahina Central (two), Pasil (four), Sambag 1 (one), San Nicolas (four), Sawang Calero (three), Suba (five), T. Padilla (one), Tejero (one), Tisa (one) and Tinago (one).

Cebu City now has a total of 2,319 cases of Covid-19.

The CHD also announced 18 new recoveries.

Of the number, 13 came from Tejero, one from Labangon, one from Basak Pardo, one from Duljo, one from Mambaling and one from Mabolo.

The total number of recoveries in the city is now at 995.

On Monday, Cebu City was placed under general community quarantine, which will last until June 15. Segmental and sequential lockdowns will be implemented in critical areas.

The Department of Health on Monday also recorded 119 fresh cases and 433 late cases of Covid-19 in the country, bringing the total number of cases to 18,638. (JGS)
